BizJet International completes its first Rolls-Royce Tay 611-8C Midlife Inspections

BizJet International, Lufthansa Technik's 100% US subsidiary and an OEM authorized Overhaul facility for the Tay 611-8/-8C and Spey 511-8 engines, has delivered its first pair of Rolls-Royce Tay 611-8C engines which are installed on the Gulfstream G450.

BizJet has achieved another significant milestone by completing its first pair of Rolls-Royce Tay 611-8C Ten-Year Calendar Midlife Inspections. "A true testament to our team's tenacity was the fact that we were able to accomplish test cell correlation on the digitally controlled -8C engine, while at the same time turning one of the engines in less than 60 days. Overall, we achieved normal production targets regarding turn-time and costs. The successful launch of the 8C program has been validated due in large part to the team's impressive planning process and operational excellence." says Vice President of Engines, Criss Berry. "This team continues to set new standards for Tay/Spey MRO services."

As an added benefit for future customers, BizJet has placed orders with Rolls-Royce for new Tay 611-8C engines which can be utilized as lease engines for customers during their off-wing event.
